What is the best custom accounting software for a small business?

My business is a high volume low margin business and I need software that can manage my sales, produce invoices, etc.

What is the best custom accounting software for a small business?
I personally like Sage or Quicken or Quickbooks or MYOB (mind your own business). Sage is used by so many people that its probably your best option as you can generally get advise from others if you are using that. I
Reply:Sage is tedious, and Quickbooks is excellent I use both and prefer Quickbook
Reply:If you need a good inventory system, try Peachtree. If you don't need an inventory system, Quick Books. Quick Books has an inventory system too but I like Peachtree Complete better since it handles Sales commissions better. SBT accounting software is good too but cost more.
Reply:Definately SAGE. If you do not require stock control just get Sage Instants, relatively cheap, you can design the invoices to suit you. Will also provide you with loads of different reports so you can see what your doing. Its user friendly and Sage have a support line. You can also upgrade to bigger more powerful version if you need to. Its also very accountant friendly. Good Luck.
