Windows built in Movie Maker is perfect for beginner's. Once you get the hang of it move on to a Third-Party Application because Movie Makers graphics become quite repetitive. Unless you download the extras for it.

I would suggest Photoshop, it has worked the best for me. I'm pretty sure if you go to the Adobe website there are free 30 day trials.

I am setting up a distribution business where I buy a range of hair products from a supplier overseas and then store them in a warehouse.
I will employ sales reps to visit hair salons and take orders for my hair products.
I need a computer software that can:

3. Keep track of my sales reps details.
4. Keep track of each sales reps orders grouped by hair salon name in his area.
5. Print off invoices to mail out to the salons, and keep track of whether or not they have been paid.
I have no idea what this type of software is called and am having a hard time finding something suitable.

I need crystal clear and deep color photos for marketing purposes. This is the one. A friend of mine gave me his copy to download. Google this product to find out more. Don't forget there are very few things that are free. All those free downloads always have strings attached. You either get spammed to death or there is some type of browser hi-jacking or some crap attached. All that will slow your computer down.

Hi there, I am looking for a good, clear, plain English book or internet guide that explains how computer and software have developed over time and how they actually work. For example, in a typical transaction processing system for customer orders, what is the hardware and how is the software structured into programs and data files? When looking at such a system, how can you tell what it is and how it works - ie Mainframe or Client Server and such like? For example, if you wanted to extract transaction data how would you find the data file?
So I am looking for something that is going to give me at least a starting point on these questions.

I would be prepared to do some sorting myself if I were you. If you have a lot to transfer, I would to it in manageable groups.

What software do you use for organizing your family tree? We use Family Tree Maker but I was thinking about looking around for a free one to put on my laptop.

A question for software engineers. Can you draft an SRS for an existing commercial product within 24 hours? That is, can one be created that would withstand scrutiny against ISO 13485?

Depends what the software does. Sometimes it is better to license it to companies that will actually need to use it - that is how you make money when the product takes off.
The other solution would be to make it available for trial download online. That way if people really do want it, they will pay for it.

It also said there that any literary work is protected by copyright upon its creation. I just want to know if let's say someone releases software for profit that has not been registered for copyright with the US Copyright office, is his work protected by copyright law?

Hello,
I need to reduce colors from photos to like 40-60 for a project. It is very important though that the quality of the picture stays as good as possible.
Are there more effective ways to do this beside choosing Indexed Colors in Photoshop?
Using some Blur or other filters before reducing colors?
Is there any other software which is better fit for this job?
Any tricks are very appreciated!

Hi. I read some books and do not remember there is another way. But when saving as GIF files, remeber to check "Preserve Exact Colors".
You can also go to File%26gt;Save for Web%26gt; then select in flyout menu on right (small triangle) - Select All Web Safe Colors, and eventually choose colors. If there are noise problems, try checking Diffusion, instead of No Dither on the left side, above the color palette.
When You select 32 colors in po-up at right, eventually add also Restrictive (Web) instead of Perceptual 1 pop-up window above previous.
All I talk here is about CS2 - I did not have earlier versions.

Frankly, you'll be better off not bothering with the software. The computer software for your camera is clunky and very limited at best. You will be better off using a flash card reader to download your images quickly and easily into your computer and any simple digital editing program to prepare your images for e-mailing and printing.
If you have a relatively new computer, you may have combination flash card readers built into it (many newer computers do) that will fit your flesh card. If there is not one built into your computer, they can be had at very reasonable prices from almost any store which sells cameras or computers. If you have to buy a plug-in flash card reader, I suggest you bring along your camera or the flash card from your camera when you buy it to make sure you get the right size card reader. The card reader will plug into any USB port in your computer and should require no additional software.
