What is good software for live music perfomances?

Most times when I see a band performing on live tv, there is usually a keyboard driver and a computer. What is the software they could be using to possible make the band as a whole sound better, or just the keyboarder?

It wont depend completely on the softwear, but also how you mic it and mix it. The Pro Tools softwear is excelent for editing music and is what many professionals use. It is also very expensive (thousands of dollars). Cakewalk is a less expensive softwear that you could also use(probably around 100 dollars). You are going to get the best live recording if you mic instruments individually and use a mixer that is usb. That way you can record each instrument to a seperate track in the computer and you can tweak them individually.
