How do I sell my software to resellers or corporations?

I am developing software with a friend of mine. I was wondering how do we take our finished software, and get it into the stores like Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Circuit City?

Depends what the software does. Sometimes it is better to license it to companies that will actually need to use it - that is how you make money when the product takes off.


The other solution would be to make it available for trial download online. That way if people really do want it, they will pay for it.
Reply:There's a way to go through something to Sell it. Some say sell it on the net, or sell it to Companys. There's one problem with that. Someone can always take it %26amp; say it's theres %26amp; easily change it, so what I say before you do is get something. I actually have to look up the Info %26amp; I'll post it to you, but if you go selling it without you like doing something. I can't explain what I am trying to say. If I can find the Info I'll give it to you though!

Create a website to promote it with all the info about it on there.


Put the bare minimum you'd like others to pay (one off) to use it ... and have an option for people to donate if they feel the software is worthy.


Mind you, you'll need to get rights to it so someone doesn't take the software from you.





Then when you've gained a fair amount of customers, then you can start promoting it to other bigger companies etc ... etc.





Otherwise .... I wouldn't have a clue.
