Is there good free software that lets you record your computer screen?

I found 2 but one didn't work and the other one slowed my computer. Is there free software that records the computer screen that is easy to use and doesn't slow down the computer?

If you press "Print Screen" key on your keyboard it will take a snapshot of your screen. If you paste it into the Paint program you will have the screenshot.

If you actually want to record the action on your screen like Camtasia does, look here:

Reply:It's likely that any software you use for this purpose will be quite high on resource consumption, and so will inevitably slow down your computer.

If you're using Linux, I can recommend an application called Istanbul. I tried recordmydesktop and xvidcap, but neither worked regularly. Istanbul does. However, as you don't specify an operating system, I assume you're using Windows, and as I don't use Windows I can't recommend anything for that.
Reply:try frapps theres trial. its not that expensive and its really good and easy to use
