What is the best photo editing software?

I'd like some software that I can edit digit photos with. I'd like one that allows me to:

Cut out the people and put them in a different setting

Paste someone's face over another's body

Make the entire picture black and white except for one object.

What software offers these features and more?

Thanks!

What is the best photo editing software?
The Gimp. Almost as good as Photoshop, but it is 100% free. Opensource too.

PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro are for serious editing of photos, which is more than you need.
Reply:Photoshop is the reference. Top functionality, high price though, also a lot of literature on the net and in the bookshops for tutorials and all.
Reply:Try Picasa, which is free and easy to use.

Hope it helps.
Reply:Agree with the Adobe photoshop! Best I have ever used! You better be ready to learn tho, its a very complex program!
Reply:WHile Photoshop is the best, hands down, for beginners I would recommend Corel PaintShop Pro X. It is more user friendly, and easier to understand. It will do everything you want to do. It is also cheaper, at around $80.

There are lots of free tutorials online as well.
Reply:Photoshop CS2.
