How to deal with problem of uninstalling or installing software?

Suppose, I have installed some software and without uninstalling it I have deleted it. So now we can see that software in add/remove program but that program doesn't exist. If we want to install that software( or its newer version) it tells to uninstall existing software. But we can't uninstall using add/remove program it asks for some file not found. So how to deal with this problem?

Is there any registry modification technique or some thing like that?

You can system restore option if you are using win xp to restore the computer to earlier time and completely uninstall the programn.
Reply:Firstly you can remove add/remove program entry by using any Unintalling software and associated registry entries with the help of registry junk cleaner. I am using "Spybot Search and Destroy" to remove any add/remove entries then I use online registry cleaner from site "safety.live.com" and click 'cleanup'. Previously I used "ccleaner" to remove harddisk and registry junk but with that sometimes some of my installed programs failed to run so i switched over to online scan and since then I faced no problem.
Reply:click start menu go to run in the console type "regedit " then first make a back up by going to file and click export save the file now in the edit go to search type your software name and search and delete every registry key related to that software and then install a new one.

few things to be noted you delete some thing other than that it might put you torubles in that case just go to file then import and use the backup copy to restore the original one. some times your software may be saved on the company name so you should have an minimum idea about the software to decide whether the selected key belongs to the particular software are not. kepp searcing and delete untill it says there is no more file related to it. some times it may need a restart after deleting. so make once you delete registry keys restart the system and then install a fresh copy.
Reply:if u delete an installed software without uninstalling it how it will be uninstalled? No, u must not delete those files of the software. if u want to remove it, u have to remove it from Add/Remove Programs
