What software program can I use to rip streaming video and audio from the internet?

Does anyone know of a convenient software program that is FREE that I can download from the internet and use to rip streaming video/audio from the internet?

There was a website for doing this, you just entered the url, and it gave the video, but I dont remember the name of it, I found it by searching for youtube video downloaders
Reply:There's an add-on for the Firefox browser called Download Helper than is often useful for this.
Reply:I use limewire for music. It's free or you can pay a flat rate for a lifetime membership. They have videos too, but I have only downloaded one before.
