What is the best and longest lasting antivirus software?

I would like an antivirus software program that lasts 2 to 3 years, if possible.

What is the best and longest lasting antivirus software?
Your best bet is to buy a 3 year subscription to the top rated product Kaspersky, unless you want free protection . try hunting on Amazon, ebay, yahoo, and google shopping type in Kaspersky and 3 year.

The top rated Antivirus/Spyware suite by those who test antivirus programs (av-comparitives, virus.gr, etc) is Kaspersky

(I have used this to clean up machines that nothing else would work on.

you can download a 30 day free trial here.

( I used this to remove spyware and Trojans from a laptop that adaware would only detect but not get rid of ) It detected and removed everything
Reply:McAfee
Reply:good luck with that considering that antivirus require daily updates becuase that is how quick viruses emerge. if you want free try avg. otherwise by a 3 year subscription to one of the many antivirus venders out there.
Reply:what matters not so much is the program but rather the availability of the antivirus list updates

if you do not have the up to date list - its of limited use

most commercial antivirus programs sell one year update licences

norton etc

Many " free" antivirus programs will now update by themselves ( it used to be the free versions had to be updated manually)

AVG free is fine

If the program updates over time ( say a major windows service will come out an they have to update the software) it will update the program as well

Avast is good too

Spyware is a much bigger problem than viruses

run these on a regular basis with updates

Reply:i have had norton antivirus for a number of years and it has worked fine. you have to renew it every year for a price. you can get avast antivirus from nonags.com for free and its good too.

Reply:Norton's been working for me its on all my computers and they're all running good
Reply:avg
Reply:I use Nortons' it takes up quite a bit of ram but if you get the Nortons Internet Security package, you get just that , adware spyware firewall, everything. I have been using it for years like they said for a price once a year and the updates are up to date also.
