What is the best Anti-virus software I could buy, one that is cheap and excellent? I heard AVG is best, should I buy that or is there a better and cheaper software?

There's another good free anti-virus out there called Avast - http://www.avast.com/. You can always purchase for a full version for additional features or continue using for free with a home serial key (obtained through free registration with them).

Reply:easily Nod32, if not the current best always ranked in the top few which makes it extremely reliable. Also extremely fast. Currently i think it is Avira followed by Nod32. But Nod32 has been reliable for years.
Reply:AVG is probably the best, even the free version is very, very good. Avast! isn't as good, it is more intensive on your computers resources but it is better than Norton or McAfee. Never ever use Norton or McAfee, they drastically slow your computer down and ends up just being really, really annoying.
